Born in Western Australia. School years spent in the Clare Valley, South Australia. This repo starts empty and stays that way for a while — engineer, dad, husband come much later.
Moved to Adelaide. Started Bachelor of Computing (Multimedia) at the University of South Australia. First real exposure to programming, web tech, and the strange joy of a red squiggle disappearing.
Joined Women's and Children's Hospital SA Health as a Junior Developer. Shipped small interactive learning activities in jQuery, learned CodeIgniter, learned how production feels.
Completed the Bachelor of Computing. Ready to deploy HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and a healthy bit of multimedia into the wild.
Promoted to Lead. Led end-to-end development of a custom LMS on CodeIgniter and the LAMP stack. SCSS, Bootstrap, Vue.js — translating intricate UX into something an entire hospital could use without a trainer standing next to them.
Scaled the LMS to 800,000+ users across multiple instances. Built eLearning activities, quizzes, and an L1/L2/L3 help-desk system. Profiled, tuned, and indexed MySQL until queries stopped embarrassing us.
Completed Certificate IV in Project Management Practice (SG Learning & Development). Better planning, better estimates, better conversations when a deadline slips.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate. Cloud infra, deployment strategy, and enough Terraform to keep main.tf under control.
Joined HutSix as Senior Engineer. Custom CRM on AngularJS + Symfony, migrated CI from GitHub Actions to Docker + Buddy Works, and stewarded the AWS footprint. A major-version bump, earned.
Designed and co-built a React Native mobile app with Redux. Full-stack finally stretched to the pocket.
Stepped into the CTO seat at Punt Club — still hands-on, still close to the code. Leading technical delivery across the syndicate betting platform (thousands of transactions a day, end-to-end), shipping a major bookmaker API integration, rebuilding the iOS and Android apps, and evolving the sports tipping product. Modern PHP/Symfony on the back, React/Next.js on the front, AI tooling woven through investigation and delivery — and a team I'd ship with anywhere.

At Punt Club I lead delivery across a syndicate betting platform shipping thousands of transactions a day, a bookmaker API integration, and our iOS and Android apps — mostly modern PHP/Symfony on the back, React/Next.js on the front. My superpower is diving into complex problems fast, turning ambiguity into a plan, and shipping changes that improve stability, maintainability, and team velocity. I also care a lot about UI/UX — software should feel intuitive, not just function.
